Samsung Launches the Terrace- a New Outdoor TV

Samsung announces theTerrace

Just in time for summer days as, more people are looking forward to spending all day outside, especially after the two months in lockdown, Samsung is announcing the launching of their specifically outdoor created TV: the Terrace.

The new gadget comes with 4K technology, waterproof, dustproof, and with a screen bright enough to be visible in full blasting daylight.

Inside our cozy living rooms or bedrooms, Samsung has always been a strong force when talking about TV market share but that is about to change as the company has figured out a new technology to make TVs enjoyable even in outside spaces regardless of the glare that sunlight inflicts on screens.

the Terrace comes just in time for summer offering the customers endless morning coffees and afternoon lunches on the terrace without the need to squint your eyes thanks to the screen that supports a 2000 nits brightness among the IP55 water and dust (or even sand) resistance.

Unlike the mainstream home TVs, the price of the new gadget can come as a shock as the 55-inch model comes at a whooping 3450$, and the most expensive model, the 75 inches one is priced at 6500 $.

Even giving the enhancements making the TV resistant to the outside elements, the company insists the model is rather sleek with a depth of less than 6 cm. To install it you would need a regular outlet and it offers the same set of qualities as the regular OLED TVs Samsung is building.

Among the first markets to welcome the Terrace are the US and Canada, followed soon by Germany, Australia, and New Zealand.

On the presentation page, Samsung also highlights the soundbar coming along nicely with the TV. With the same set of features like water and dustproof, the speaker is also “packs powerful and crisp audio for a truly immersive outdoor home theater experience.”
