After almost two months of on-hold status, the COVID 19 has put on travel and tourism, many UAE flight companies have come up with news regarding resuming their flights’ schedule.

Since March 25th, when due to the current world pandemic, airline companies like Emirates, Qatar, and other low-cost ones like flydubai and Air Arabia had to put a hold on all commercial flights.

Since the beginning of this month, some airline companies announced the operation of specific one-way repatriation flights to targeted locations – Emirates announced 5 such locations, London Heathrow being one of them; of course with taking the necessary precautions dictated by the ongoing distancing rules ( pre-boxed meals, no inflight magazines offered, no carry-on luggage and using empty seats between passengers when possible).

UAE low-cost airlines, Air Arabia and flydubai have already announced on their website the return flights locations that will soon be operated starting June 1st: Mumbai, Delhi, Trivandrum, Karachi, Peshawar, Dhaka, Colombo, Beirut, Cairo, Jeddah, Riyadh, Moscow, and Vienna.

For some of the locations, the one-way flights are scheduled to start ass early ass May 21st. Please check with the airline website for more information: https://www.flydubai.com/en/contact/operational-updates#update-on-coronavirus-covid-

At the starting of the week, Emirates has made a statement announcing their relaunch of commercial flights to several destinations including a connection between Australia and the UK starting as early as May 21st as well.  The destinations listed are Chicago, London, Paris, Melbourne, and Toronto, among others.

The good news comes hand in hand with specific rules and regulations for keeping the health of the passengers and crew: thoroughly disinfected aircrafts, a mandatory DHA test upon arrival, and a mandatory 14 days quarantine upon arrival in UAE.
