This year, Dubai can be one of the hosts for the 2020 IPL.
Right after the clearance is given from the Indian government, UAE will host this year’s Indian Premier League starting September 19 to November 10th.
The event will spread out over 53 days which is 3 days longer than the last two years. The governing council has decided for a 24 player upper limit for each squad.
Out of the 53 days, 10 of them will host double-headers. Each night the show will start at 6:00 PM UAE time. The locations where the matched will be played are Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah.

The stadiums will most surely not be filled to capacity but at 30-50 %. Also, the franchise was considering the first leg of the tournament to be held behind closed doors.
The final day is not set in stone yet, officials alternating between the 8 or 10th of November.
Regarding the pandemic, Dubai’s airport is still the best equipped to allow the expected influx of visitors. Also by the way the Emirates has handled the pandemic, the organizers are confident that all will go according to plan.
