If you were living under the impression that air travel is the fastest way of transportation, you are wrong! The Hyperloop is here to change your mind forever.
Traveling three times quicker than a Bugatti Veyron and 200 miles by hour faster than a Boeing 747, we present you the Hyperloop! The vehicle that once ready, will cut time travel between Dubai and Abu Dhabi to 12 minutes. (compared to 90 minutes by car).
The Hyperloop concept made its debut at the Dubai International Motor Show in 2019. The vehicle is a train but not like any train you’ve seen before. It also aims to be a benchmark driver free transit of the next generation.
The idea has been first introduced by Elon Musk since 2013 and multiple companies are working on the technology needed. The top contender is Virgin Hyperloop One who promises the Hyperloop will be 100% electric. Moreover ready by 2021. This will use magnetic levitation to move the pods through the tunnels either above or below ground.
The speed is said to reach up to 700 miles per hour but once the air in the tunnels is removed, making friction basically nonexistent, the speed could reach its top speed potential of 750 miles per hour.
The inside is as luxurious as you would think and the noise generated will be less than the noise trains make.
Fast, relaxing, and luxurious? Seems like a dream but at what cost?
If you though the building of such high tech transportation will cost hundreds of billions of dollars please allow us to comfort you. According to the specialists, the cost could be cheaper than building a normal railroad.
Every hour, 10000 people can travel in the high-speed pods without emptying your wallet. The exact numbers have not been revealed yet but the prices are set to be more reasonable than trains or even plane tickets.
Ticket sales will make all the money put in the project to be recouped in 8 to 15 years.
Benefits of such an installment
The economic benefits of such an invention, start with reductions in emission making pollution a thing of the past for the smart cities.
Traffic on the road will also see a contraction.
And maybe the most important impact will be on the economic aspect as the pods will be able to connect professionals with jobs located in a further area that would have been comfortable normally.
